What to expect when you apply

When you apply for a vacancy at IFDS via the online Careers website or in the IFDS Careers Centre you will receive an email confirming receipt within a few hours. We do receive a very high volume of applications but we will try and keep you updated of the progress of your application at regular intervals (you can also view the progress by logging in to your job seeker's account). Once you have registered your CV with us it is also held on our database which we can use to search for other roles which fit your skills and requirements - so keep your IFDS Careers Centre profile as up to date as possible!

Aptitude Testing

Aptitude tests measure your ability to acquire further knowledge or skills in a specific area. These tests can be paper or PC based and will assess some of the following areas:

  • Verbal Reasoning/Comprehension
  • Numeracy
  • Clerical checking/Attention to detail
  • Diagramming/Logic

  • Personality Questionnaire

The personality questionnaire is designed to assess your typical or preferred behaviour in the workplace. We would usually ask you to complete this online prior to attending a competency-based interview.

We use SHL for our aptitude and personality tests. To view the types of test we may conduct or to do a practice test, please visit www.shldirect.com
